Beach Combing

theoutershores

My thoughts and experiences on the exposed outer coast. Lots of photos and a few words about sandy beaches, and surfperches and their prey. I'm always thinking about sandy beach connections to its sister ecosystem, the rocky intertidal. Occasional connections to oceanic, subtidal, and estuarine ecosystems also appear. You can see photos of stuff washed ashore on my Wrack Line pages. I'm always updating photos of algae, plants, and animals on my Variety of Life pages.
