  2. Hello Steve Human! Biasini the horse here. I have never seen anything like this before. Can these things be eaten? They look a little bit like my alfalfa hay cubes once they have been soaked in water. Whatever they are thanks for responding to my photo challenge🐴.

    1. Hi, Biasini! Those are sea anemones, an animal, not much even by horses. Some humans around the world have a taste for them. I really enjoyed your photo challenge. It was right up my alley.

    1. Yes, Tina! Good call. The colonies are genetically unique clones. adjacent clones fight along their borders. A bit of open space reduces fighting I guess.
