I took this on February 27, 2016 and made it the background on my Facebook profile a few days ago. It’s the northern Oregon coast, USA. The view is to the south, toward Arch Cape and then Cape Falcon in the farthest distance. The islet just offshore is Castle Rock or Queen Vic. Its east face has a pattern resembling Queen Victoria’s face.
The photograph doesn’t stand out much from other coastal Oregon images. I see many of them every day, but a comment by Michael Westphal makes it different and qualifies it, in my opinion, for the One Love Photo Challenge. He said,
When you’re in that world, there is no other
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it, so I’m posting it here with the image that inspired it.
