My thoughts and experiences on the exposed outer coast. Lots of photos and a few words about intertidal nature. I’m always thinking about sandy beach connections to its sister ecosystems, the rocky intertidal, estuaries, and coastal forests. You can see photos of things I’ve found washed ashore on my Wrack Line pages. If you are looking for new takes on common intertidal algae, plants, and animals, I’m always updating my Variety of Life pages. I love the full-page layout on all theoutershores’ pages.
A very striking photo. Very apt choice for this week’s theme.
Thank you. It was hard to pick one. I saw you picked three! And all very good shots too.
Thanks! Just one can be hard sometimes!
Wow that sandy beach is doing double duty, servicing an ocean and a continent at the same time. Rededicating myself to giving that beach a hand. Thanks for the beautiful pic and words Steve + Happy Earth Day!!
Happy Earth Day to you! If anybody could get my post it would be you.
Nice! 🙂
An absolutely beautiful, moody shot. The very defined rock in the foreground stands out so clearly against the rough and misty coastline in the distance!
Your descriptions are so apt. This isn’t the first time! I can see it after you say it. It’s like wine tasting; I can taste it after somebody else says it. You’ve got a talent for describing. Thanks!
Sometimes writing comments is difficult, and I hate throwing out the same old lines – ‘Great photo’ etc. It’s nice when you realise that the person has actually taken the time to really look! But I’m a hopeless wine taster!
